Bassett Youth Soccer - Frequently Asked Questions

1. Q: How do I register my team for the Bassett Youth Soccer Winter League?
    A: All competitive teams must be 2012-2013 Cal South members.  Once your team is registered, the Team Manaager or Head Coach must log on to their team profile and click "Tournament" tab.  Select the "2013 Bassett Youth Soccer Winter League" and click the "Register" tab.  This will open your application, which must be completed. 

2. Q: Do you play games on Sundays?
    A: No we do not, games are primarily scheduled for Saturdays.  Teams will be scheduled on a Monday on few occasions to make up games or for playoffs.

3. Q: Is my team available to play in the Cal South Sports Authority State Cup and USYS National Cup?
    A: Yes.  Bassett Youth Soccer is a Cal South sanctioned league.  All participating teams are eligible to play in the Cal South Sports Authority State Cup and USYS National Cup.  Games will be rescheduled if teams do advance.

4. Q: Does our team need to provide certified USSF referee to compete in Bassett Youth Soccer?
    A: No.  All referees are assigned by CAFLA Inc.

5. Q: Do you require specific type of soccer boot?
    A: Yes.  No participant may wear a soccer boot that has screw in cleats or metal studs.  The goal keeper MAY NOT wear cleats at all.  All goal keepers must wear a turf soccer boot, indoor soccer boot or tennis shoes. (Laws only applied at Bassett Park)

6. Q: Can we bring food or drinks into the soccer playing area?
    A: No.  All forms of food and drink (except water) are strictly prohibited inside the gates at Bassett Park.  I.E. gum, seeds, gatorade, powerade, candy, fast food, coffee etc.
